Techniques for Advanced Forex Trading

Forex is a potential platform for earning substantial profit. In fact it is one of the largest trading markets of the world. Featuring an average daily trade of US$ 2 trillion and above, this market is best known for its high scale trading volume and intense liquidity. Adding to this, today with the advancement of technology it can be done from anywhere of the world. Backed up by world-wide web, you can easily trade in the forex market at the comfort of your own home. However, it is important to understand that fx trading is based hugely on speculation. You must be smart enough to guess exactly when the rate of a certain currency pair will rise and go down, and then buy or sell based on that. Indeed it is said that if you learn to study the speculation of this market, you will have a better chance of getting profit.

Today, it is more advanced and turned into an active investment arena, where only a factual understanding of the intricacies and complexities can make your capital grow every day. Moreover, like any other business, it also involves some amount of risks. There is no shot fx trading technique for success in the currency trading market, but there are some well-known techniques that can assist you formulate a good advanced foreign exchange trading strategy. Here are few essential techniques that can help you cut your losses and increases profits:

Forex Scalping: It is a latest technique of trading where profits are taken after relatively small moves in the forex market. It is a technique where trading is done over small time frames, and smaller profits are taken more frequently. As the position exposed to the market is shorter, it automatically reduces the risk of adverse market events causing the price to go against the trade. It is a different approach to most other forex strategies, but still requires you to analyze the market to ensure that the set up for a trade is present. This type of trading greatly appeals to day traders and those who look to reduce the risk involved in trading currencies.

Forex Hedging: It is a technique that helps in reducing some of the risk involved in holding an open forex position. It decreases the risk by taking both sides of a trade at once. If your broker allows it, a simple way to hedge is just to initiate a long and a short position on the same pair. Advanced traders sometimes use two different pairs to make one hedge, but that can get very complicated.

It is important to understand that much of the risk involved in holding any forex position is market risk; i.e. if the market falls sharply, your losses may escalate dramatically. So if you have an open Forex position with fine projection but you think the currency pair may reverse against you, it is advised to hedge your position.

Forex Position Trading: Forex position trading approach is yet another trouble-free technique to boost your position size without increasing your risk. This trading tactic is very effective with mini lots. The major highlight with this technique is that - with forex position trading your exposure to the market is less and so therefore is no need to monitor the market continuously. Moreover, you may even earn profit with negligible loss that can further boost your trading confidence. For Example- you might make a short trade on EUR/USD at 1.40. If the pair is ultimately trending lower, but happens to retrace up, and you take another short at say 1.42, your average position would be 1.41. Once the EUR/USD drops back below 1.41, you will be back in overall profit.

Today forex trading is all about watching your options when you make a trade. Aside from using effective risk management and extreme vigilance, advanced trading can be an alternate way to make profits and control losses. Nevertheless, these above mentioned advanced trading techniques are more about using the market behavior to your advantage. Utilizing these advanced techniques can give you the edge from other average trader.

The Foreign Exchange Market Differs From The Stock Market

The alien interchange market is likewise known as the FX market, and the forex market. Syndication that takes place amongst two regions with dissimilar currencies is the basis for the fx market and the background of the Syndication in this market. The forex market is over thirty years old, traditionalistic in the early 1970's. The forex market is one that is not grounded on any one business or laying out money in any one business, but the retail and retail of currencies.

The divergence amongst the stock market and the forex market is the tremendous retail that occurs on the forex market. There is millions and millions that are traded daily on the forex market, almost two trillion dollars is traded daily. There is is much higher than the cash traded on the daily stock market of any country. The forex market is one that involves governments, banks, financial foundations and those similar types of foundations from other countries. The

What is traded, purchased and sold on the forex market is a thing that can easily be liquidated, meaning it can be turned back to cash fast, or often times it is really going to be cash. From one currency to another, the accessibility of cash in the forex market is a thing that can take place fast for any investor from any country.

The divergence amongst the stock market and the forex market is that the forex market is worldwide, worldwide. The stock market is a thing that takes place only within a country. The stock market is grounded on businesses and products that are within a country, and the forex market takes that a step farther to include any country.

The stock market has set business hours. In general, this is going to follow the business day, and will be closed on banking holidays and weekends. The forex market is one that is open in general twenty four hours a day because the tremendous number of countries that have part in forex retail, buying and retail are located in galore dissimilar times zones. As one market is opening, another countries market is closing. This is the continual method of how the forex market retail occurs.

The stock market in any country is going to be grounded on only that countries currency, say as an illustration the Japanese yen, and the Japanese stock market, or the United States stock market and the dollar. However, in the forex market, you're involved with galore types of countries, and galore currencies. You will find references to a variety of currencies, and this is a big divergence amongst the stock market and the forex market.

What is a forex broker?

Have you ever felt intrigued by the many advertisements on high leverage and great profit potential involved in currency trading? The golden gate of the kingdom of money, we are told, is reached by the road of forex. Are forex brokers highway robbers infesting that road, or honest dealers making our journey easier? We'll discuss the brokerage business in this article.

A forex broker is the mediator between the retail and wholesale forex markets The wholesale market is comprised of banks and similar large institutions, and the retail market, of course, includes individual traders who are seeking to acquire speculative gains. Forex brokers are not traders themselves, but occasionally they will have their own staff trading the market on their behalf.

Forex brokers allow retail traders to interact with the markets, and are compensated for their services through the bid-ask spread which is the difference between the price a trader must accept to sell (bid), and the price he must pay to buy(ask) a currency. Since forex traders suffer losses often, brokers make the utmost effort to protect themselves. First, they net out the positions of their clients with entries on the opposite side. Since the vast majority of forex traders lose money, by entering the opposite order they usually make profits. And they also protect themselves by activating margin calls in case that a trader's account value falls below a threshold level (margin requirement).

At the inception of the forex brokerage business, retail trading was largely unregulated as authorities did not possess the expertise and background for effective oversight. Today, however, numerous regulatory bodies which include the CFTC in the U.S., the BaFin in Germany, and the FSA in the U.K. ensure a healthy, legal and competitive environment by maintaining strict regulation of the business. As such, one of the most important considerations for a beginning forex trader is guaranteeing that the broker is regulated by the relevant national authority.

In general, today's laws and regulations do not protect forex traders in the same way that stock traders are protected. Accounts opened with online stock brokers are usually protected against broker insolvency by up to $100000, and yet there is no equivalent protection for forex traders. UK-based brokers are required to segregate client assets from the firm's own capital, and so, creditors cannot press claims against forex traders if an FSA regulated broker goes bankrupt.

Forex trading is a great, profitable career for the committed individual. And a carefully scrutinized, patiently selected broker can be an excellent partner for a successful forex trader. Ultimately, finding the right broker is not just about screening forex broker lists, but improving our own discipline, and analytical skills in determining what we want from trading. Set your goals right, and you can reach them in due time. Vacillate in defining your aims, and success will likewise hesitate to come your path.

U.S Consumer Confidence will determine Today's Trend

Today's U.S. Consumer Confidence data release is set to dominate the trading between the Dollar and its major currency pairs. A number of other factors are also likely to impact the forex market today, such as the British BBA Mortgage Approvals at 8:30 GMT. The results of today's data are likely to determine the USD's trend going into rest of the week's trading.

USD - The U.S Dollar Strengthens Against Most Rivals

The greenback rebounded versus major currencies Monday, from a string of recent declines after signals at the weekend that most key central banks backed a policy of keeping their Interest Rates low for the foreseeable future.

Analysts continue to anticipate that at some point signs of strength in the U.S. economy will be read as positive for the nation's currency, ending an inverse relationship since the credit crisis began, where negative news triggered safe-haven buying of the U.S Dollar. That relationship still held back the Dollar's gains on Monday.

The USD also advanced yesterday vs. the EUR and Japanese yen as Wall Street surrendered earlier gains and traders repositioned themselves ahead of U.S. consumer and Housing data due this week. Solid U.S. data and an upbeat assessment on the economy from Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke over the weekend earlier pushed investors to take on riskier investments at the expense of the low-yielding Yen and Dollar.

EUR - Sterling Pressured; Hits 11 Week Low vs. the EUR

The EUR erased its gains versus the Dollar yesterday as Treasury yields fell and the European Central Bank (ECB) policy makers warned against succumbing to optimism with regard to the economic situation in Europe. The EUR also reversed again versus the Japanese yen after the Euro-Zone industrial orders came in much higher than expected.

But investors are keen to see how the Euro-Zone economy fares, especially after higher-than-forecast purchasing managers' index readings last week. Traders expect Germany's Ifo survey of business sentiment to be the key event for the European currency this week.

The British pound dropped yesterday against 14 of the 16 most-traded counterparts on speculation the Bank of England will depress yields on gilts, making the U.K.'s assets less attractive to foreign investors. The Sterling declined yesterday to an 11-week low versus the EUR as much as 0.6%, the weakest level since June 8th. Analysts have said that the EUR was pushed past a key options barrier at 87 pence, setting up further gains in the pair, while traders said expectations for persistently low UK Interest Rates were weighing on the British currency.

JPY - The Yen Advances as Stocks Extend Losses

The Japanese yen was broadly firmer on Tuesday as investors took a pause from a recent rush to stocks and higher-yielding currencies, with focus shifting to U.S. data later in the day for clues on an uncertain economic recovery. The low yielding Yen tends to gain when stocks and higher-yielding currencies fall or when weak economic data highlights a long and uncertain road for global recovery.

The JPY rose against all of the 16 most-active currencies after Atlanta-based SunTrust Banks Inc., Georgia's biggest lender, said U.S. financial institutions may report more credit losses as commercial real estate falters. Worries are re-emerging that regional and local banks in the U.S. may be facing more loan losses, hence causing risk aversion and buying of the Yen.

Crude Oil - Oil Trades Near 10-Month High on Economic Optimism

Crude Oil prices rose Monday, briefly touching their highest level in 10 months, as optimism about a rebound in the global economy boosted energy prices. The gains came alongside strength on Wall Street, where the stock market also briefly touched 10-month highs before pulling back slightly after a 4 day rally.

Commodities markets have tracked stocks indexes closely in recent months as dealers view equities as a leading indicator of economic performance. Oil dealers said many investors were also using commodities as a hedge against the U.S Dollar, particularly oil, as OPEC producers work to restrain supply.

However, Crude reduced its earlier gains in afternoon trade as U.S. stocks turned lower. With demand remaining weak and supplies standing abundant, the crude market could be ready for a quick and sharp downward movement.

Currency Markets Quiet as Obama Says Bernanke to Be Nominated for 2nd Term (Euro Open)
Currency markets took little notice as US President Barack Obama announced that he will nominate current Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke to another term when the central bank chief’s term in office. The final revision of Germany’s second-quarter GDP figures and Switzerland’s Employment figures top the calendar in European hours.

Key Overnight Developments

• New Zealand’s Inflation Outlook Bolsters Case for Interest Rate Cuts
• Euro, British Pound Yield Flat Result as Bears Fail to Keep Momentum
• US President Obama to Nominate Fed Chief Ben Bernanke To 2nd Term

Critical Levels

The Euro tried lower in overnight trading, testing as low as 1.4274, but rebounded just above the 1.43 mark late into the session to yield an effectively flat result ahead of the opening bell in Europe. The British Pound followed a nearly identical dynamic, tipping a low of 1.6383 before running back up to 1.6420, the same place where it started after the close in New York.

Asia Session Highlights

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand released the Inflation Expectation report, revealing that consumer prices are expected to remain below the 2% target level in a year from the third quarter but rebound to 2.3% into the second half of 2011. Although 1-year GDP growth projections turned positive for the first time in six months, wages are set to grow at a record-low 1.7% in the same period and 2.3% in 24 months, the lowest estimate in over a decade. Forecasts of rising unemployment are surely the culprit here: unemployment expectations were revised higher yet again, now calling for the jobless rate to hit 7.2% by September 2010 and 6.7% by the same time in the following year.

As we have previously argued, the likelihood of a low-inflation environment in the near to medium term gives the Reserve Bank of New Zealand scope to lower interest rates. Such a move would help to decouple the local currency from overall trends in risky assets, helping to trim the formidable current account shortfall as well as offer some additional stimulus at a time when the government has cancelled additional fiscal measures amid concerns about the nation’s public debt, both of which recently forced downgrades of new Zealand’s sovereign credit rating by both Fitch and Moody’s.

Currency markets took little notice as US President Barack Obama announced that he will nominate current Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke to another term when the central bank chief’s term expires in January. Obama had taken atypically long to make the announcement, causing some market-watchers to suspect he will look to install someone closer to the administration into the key position. On balance, the move points to continuity in US monetary policy for the time being, though little can be reasonably assumed given the extraordinary measures taken by Bernanke and company in recent months to check the fallout from the credit crisis that erupted last year and the global recession that followed.

Euro Session: What to Expect

The final revision of Germany’s second-quarter Gross Domestic Product is expected to confirm that output grew 0.3% in the three months through June, the first positive result after four consecutive quarters of losses. The annual rate of contraction is also expected to be confirmed at -5.9%, the first improvement in the year-on-year metric since the end of 2007. Despite the seemingly positive tone of the headline figure, the comparative picture of German growth is far from favorable. A survey of economists conducted by Bloomberg suggests that the Euro Zone’s largest economy, and by extension the region as a whole, will underperform most industrialized countries at least through the end of next year. The most pronounced differentials are seen against commodity-linked counties (Canada, Australia, and New Zealand) as well as the United States. A slower pace of economic growth will mean that Europe lags behind the curve as central banks begin to raise interest rates at the onset of the global recovery, a prospect that bodes ill for the single currency.

In Switzerland, Employment is expected to have contracted at an annual pace of -0.1% in the three months to June, the first negative reading since the third quarter of 2003. The unemployment rate hit 3.7% in July, the highest in over three years, and official government forecasts suggest that it will top 5% by the end of 2010. Job losses will trim on incomes and discourage consumption, weighing on overall economic growth. Against this background, UBS will release the July edition of its monthly Consumption Indicator, a measure intended to foreshadow spending trends and thereby overall economic growth by approximately 3-4 months. The metric rose for the first time in three months in June, but UBS cautioned that the future environment “remains difficult” with unemployment “likely to increase significantly in the coming months”.

The 6 Advantages Forex Trading Has Over Other Investments

There are many different advantages to trading forex instead of futures or stocks, such as:

1. Lower Margin

Just like futures and stock speculation, a forex trader has the ability to control a large amount of the currency basically by putting up a small amount of margin. However, the margin requirements that are needed for trading futures are usually around 5% of the full value of the holding, or 50% of the total value of the stocks, the margin requirements for forex is about 1%. For example, margin required to trade foreign exchange is $1000 for every $100,000. What this means is that trading forex, a currency trader's money can play with 5-times as much value of product as a futures trader's, or 50 times more than a stock trader's. When you are trading on margin, this can be a very profitable way to create an investment strategy, but it's important that you take the time to understand the risks that are involved as well. You should make sure that you fully understand how your margin account is going to work. You will want to be sure that you read the margin agreement between you and your clearing firm. You will also want to talk to your account representative if you have any questions.

The positions that you have in your account could be partially or completely liquidated on the chance that the available margin in your account falls below a predetermined amount. You may not actually get a margin call before your positions are liquidated. Because of this, you should monitor your margin balance on a regular basis and utilize stop-loss orders on every open position to limit downside risk.

2. No Commission and No Exchange Fees

When you trade in futures, you have to pay exchange and brokerage fees. Trading forex has the advantage of being commission free. This is far better for you. Currency trading is a worldwide inter-bank market that lets buyers to be matched with sellers in an instant.

Even though you do not have to pay a commission charge to a broker to match the buyer up with the seller, the spread is usually larger than it is when you are trading futures. For example, if you were trading a Japanese Yen/US Dollar pair, forex trade would have about a 3 point spread (worth $30). Trading a JY futures trade would most likely have a spread of 1 point (worth $10) but you would also be charged the broker's commission on top of that. This price could be as low as $10 in-and-out for self-directed online trading, or as high as $50 for full-service trading. It is however, all inclusive pricing though. You are going to have to compare both online forex and your specific futures commission charge to see which commission is the greater one.

3. Limited Risk and Guaranteed Stops

When you are trading futures, your risk can be unlimited. For example, if you thought that the prices for Live Cattle were going to continue their upward trend in December 2003, just before the discovery of Mad Cow Disease found in US cattle. The price for it after that fell dramatically, which moved the limit down several days in a row. You would not have been able to leave your position and this could have wiped out the entire equity in your account as a result. As the price just kept on falling, you would have been obligated to find even more money to make up the deficit in your account.

4. Rollover of Positions

When futures contracts expire, you have to plan ahead if you are going to rollover your trades. Forex positions expire every two days and you need to rollover each trade just so that you can stay in your position.

5. 24-Hour Marketplace

With futures, you are generally limited to trading only during the few hours that each market is open in any one day. If a major news story breaks out when the markets are closed, you will not have a way of getting out of it until the market reopens, which could be many hours away. Forex, on the other hand, is a 24/5 market. The day begins in New York, and follows the sun around the globe through Europe, Asia, Australia and back to the US again. You can trade any time you like Monday-Friday.

6. Free market place

Foreign exchange is perhaps the largest market in the world with an average daily volume of US$1.4 trillion. That is 46 times as large as all the futures markets put together! With the huge number of people trading forex around the globe, it is very hard for even governments to control the price of their own currency.

Trading Forex To Advance Your Financial Position

Everyday, currencies are traded in an international foreign exchange market, otherwise known as the forex market, with the main marketplaces (otherwise known as bourses) existing in the world's financial centes New York, London, Tokyo, Frankfurt and Zurich. Historically, the only way to participate was from the trading floor of one of these bourses, but today, people can trade forex from anywhere through a secure internet connection and a PC.

Today's traders operate in a global network, taking positions in the market and making investment decisions based on either relative value between two currencies, or a particular currency's actual price. Currency value fluctuations are constantly renegotiated through trading activity, and this activity, and the corresponding currency values are also indicators of the levels of currency supply.

An example of market behaviour greater demand for the Euro might indicate a weakening supply. Low supply and increased demand will drive the price of the Euro up against other currencies like the dollar, until the price better reflects what traders are prepared to pay when short supply exists. Another way to look at this situation is this higher demand means it will cost more dollars to buy the Euro, which equates to a weakening of the dollar in comparison. Analysis of situations such as in this example forms the basis for a trader's investment decisions, and they will purchase or sell currency accordingly.

This should be remembered, as while many see the foreign exchange market as the vehicle for converting their home currency while travelling abroad, many others choose to use the market to advance their financial position and secure their future.

The Benefits of Trading The Forex Market

Historically, the FX market was available most to major banks, multinational corporations and other participants who traded in large transaction sizes and volumes. Small-scale traders including individuals like you and I, had little access to this market for such a long time. Now with the advent of the Internet and technology, FX trading is becoming an increasingly popular investment alternative for the general public.

The benefits of trading the currency market:

It is open 24-hours and it closes only on the weekends;

It is very liquid and efficient;

It is very volatile;

It has very low transaction costs;

You can use a high level of leverage (borrowed money) with ease; and

You can profit from a bull or a bear market.

Continuous, 24-Hour Trading

The currency exchange is a 24-hour market. You may decide to trade after you come home from work. Regardless of what time-frame you want to trade at whatever time of the day, there would be enough buyers and sellers to take the other side of your trade. This feature of the market gives you enough flexibility to manage your trading around your daily routine.

Liquidity And Efficiency

When there are a lot of buyers and a lot of sellers, you can expect to buy or sell at a price that is very close to the last market price. The currency market is the most liquid market in the world. Trading volume in the currency markets can be between 50 and 100 times larger than the New York Stock Exchange (Source: Oanda.)

When you are trading stocks, you may have experienced events where one piece of news accelerates or decelerates the price of the underlying stock you may have bought into. Perhaps a director has been kicked out by the shareholders of a company or the company has just released a new product and big investors are buying the shares of a particular company. Share prices can be drastically affected by the actions or inactions of one or a few individuals. So if you are relying on television reports and newspapers to get your news, most of the opportunities or warnings will have come too late for you to take advantage by the time you get them.

The value of currencies on the other hand is affected by so many factors and so many participants that the likelihood of any one individual or group of individuals drastically affecting the value of a currency is minute. Because of its sheer size, the currency market is hard to manipulate. The ability for people to engage in 'insider trading' is virtually eliminated. As an average trader, you are less disadvantaged. You are likely to be playing on relatively equal ground along with all the other traders and investors whom you are competing against.

Note about price gaps:

For those people who have already traded other markets, you probably know about price 'gaps'. 'Gaps' occur when prices 'jump' from one price level to another without having taken any incremental steps to get there. For example, you may be trading a share that closes at $10 at the end of today but due to some event that happens overnight; it opens tomorrow at $5 and continues to go downwards for the rest of the day.

Gaps bring about another degree of uncertainty that may meddle with a trader's strategy. Probably one of the most worrying aspects of this is when a trader uses stop-losses. In this case, if a trader puts a stop-loss at $7 because he no longer wants to be in a trade if the share price hits $7, his trade will remain open overnight and the trader wakes up tomorrow with a loss bigger than he may have been prepared for.

After looking at a couple of forex charts, you will realize that there are little price 'gaps' or none at all, especially on the longer-term charts like the 3-hour, 4-hour or the daily charts.

Volatility

Trading opportunities exist when prices fluctuate. If you buy a share for $2 and it stays there, there is no opportunity to make a profit. The magnitude of level of this fluctuation and its frequency is referred to as volatility. As a trader, it is volatility that you profit from. Large volume transactions and high liquidity combined with fewer trading instruments generate greater intra-day volatility in the currency market that can be exploited by day-traders. The high volatility of the currency market indicates that a trader can potentially earn 5 times more money from currency trading than trading the most liquid shares.

Volatility is a measure of maximum return that a trader can generate with perfect foresight. Volatility for the most liquid stocks are between 60 to 100. Volatility for currency trading is 500. (Source: Oanda.)

In this respect, currencies make a better trading vehicle for day-traders than the equity markets.

Low Transaction Costs

A currency transaction typically incurs no commission or transaction fees. For a forex trader, the spread is the only cost he or she needs to cover in taking on a position. In addition, because of the currency market's efficiency, there is little or no 'slippage' costs.

'Slippage' is the cost involved when traders enter the market at a price worse than the level they wanted to get into. For example, a trader wants to buy a share at $2.00 but by the time, the order gets executed, his gets to buy the shares at $2.50. That fifty cents difference is his slippage cost. Slippage cost affects large-volume traders a lot. When they buy large quantities of a commodity, it oversupplies the market with buy orders. This applies a pressure for the price to go up. By the time they get to buy all the quantities they wanted, the average price they got their commodities would be higher than the price they intended to get them for. Conversely, when they sell large quantities of a commodity, they oversupply the market with sell orders. This applies a pressure for the price to go down. By the time they finish selling all their commodities, their average selling price is less than what they initially intended to sell them for.

Due to lower transaction costs, minimum slippage and strong intra-day volatility, individuals can trade frequently at small costs. As an approximate, you may only expect to have a spread of 0.03% of your position size. To give you an example, you can buy and sell 10,000 US Dollars and this will only incur a 3-point spread, equivalent to $3.

Leverage

There are not a lot of banks or people who would lend you money so that you can use it to trade shares. And if there are, it would be very hard for you to convince them to invest in you and in your idea that a certain share is going to go up or down. Therefore, most of the time, if you have a $10,000 account, you can only really afford to buy $10,000 worth of stocks.

In currency trading however, because you use 'borrowed money', you can trade $10,000 of a currency and you only need anywhere between fifty (For a margin lending ratio of 200:1) to two hundred dollars ( For a margin lending ratio of 50:1) in your trading account. This makes it possible for an average trader with a small trading account, under $10,000 to be able to profit sufficiently from the movements of the currency exchange rates. This concept is explained further in The Part-Time Currency Trader.

Profit From A Bull And Bear Market

When you are trading shares, you can only profit when the price of a stock goes up. When you suspect that it is about to go down or that it is just going to be moving sideways, then the only thing you can do is sell your shares and stand aside. One of the frustrations of trading shares is that an individual cannot profit when prices are going down. In the currency market, it is easy for you to trade a currency downward so that you can profit when you think it is going to lose value. This is easy to do because currency trading simply involves buying one currency and selling another, there is no structural bias that makes it difficult to trade 'downwards'. This is why the currency market has been occasionally referred to as the eternal bull market.

Forex Enterprise — A Full Review

A new marketing course to hit the internet by Nick Marks that advertises earnings of $1000 a day and $30,000 a month respectively. This turnkey system generating multiple streams of income is relatively new and so it is my pleasure to review it for you.

After purchasing you are given a login page where you are introduced to the system which is in website format. Everything is easy to access and well organized.

After Nick gives you a little pep talk about positive thinking and goal setting, you will be introduced to his first recommendation: join Coastal Vacations. While not a part of his main Forex system this is a recommendation I could've done without.

In the pay per click section you are given a large list of keywords that Nick found convert really well with his system. Some of the keywords in the list have bid prices already attached to them so you can get front page exposure.

The course also has $50 in free adwords credit that unfortunately only works with new accounts so I was out of luck. If you don't already have an account this is worth the price of the course alone.

The forex course shows you some inexpensive traffic methods and provides links to these sources. He also covers stuff like pop-over ads, e-mail lists and autoresponders. Not bad information by any means, and is an alternative to pay per click advertising if you have a smaller budget.

He has an ebook package that seemed like it was going to be really cool as there were dozens of bonus ebooks and software programs covering everything from creating ebooks and website templates, to getting top positions in the major search engines.

As I took a closer look at this package I realized there were some bargain bin informational products included. However, there were also alot of goodies in there as well that I found rather useful. You get so many ebooks and software in here that it really is worth far more than the price of the course.

There is a section on becoming an Ebay power seller in 90 days that goes into a fair amount of detail and wasn't bad. However, Ebay isn't something I have ever been particularly interested in doing. There is also a section on baccarat strategies that I had no interest in.

One of the last sections of his course introduces you to e-currency exchanging using the DXINONE system. It is a great way to acquaint yourself with this increasingly popular opportunity without having to buy standalone e-currency courses which can cost a couple hundred dollars.

The author has combined several effective ways to earn money online and rolled them all into one course. While I didn't jump up and down about all of his strategies, the free ebooks, software, and adwords credit make Forex Enterprise worth the money.

Forex Trading

So what is is Forex trading you may ask? Forex is the exchange you can buy and sell currencies. For example, you might buy British pounds (by exchanging them to the dollars you had), then, after pounds / dollar ratio goes up, you sell pounds and buy dollars again. At the end of this operation you are going to have more dollars, then you had at the beginning.

The Forex market has much higher liquidity, then the stock market, as much more money is being exchanged. Forex is spread between banks all over the planet and as a result it means 24 hour trading.

Unlike stocks, Forex trades are performed with high leverage, usually it is 100. It means that by investing $1000 you can control $100,000, and increase potential profits accordingly. Some brokers provide also so called mini-Forex, where the size of minimum deposit equals $100. It makes possible for individuals to enter this market easily.

The name convention. In Forex, the name of a "symbol" is composed of two parts — one for first currency, and another for the second currency. For example, the symbol usdjpy stands for US dollars (usd) to Japanese yen (jpy).

As with stocks, you can apply tools of the technical analysis to Forex charts. Trader's indexes can be optimized for Forex "symbols", allowing you to find winning strategy.

Example Forex transaction

Assume you have a trading account of $25,000 and you are trading with a 1% margin requirement. The current quote for EUR/USD is 1.3225/28 and you place a market order to buy 1 lot of 100,000 Euros at 1.3228, expecting the euro to rise against the dollar. At the same time you place a stop-loss order at 1.3178 representing a maximum loss of 2% of your account equity if the trade goes against you, 50 pips below your order price, and a limit order at 1.3378, 150 pips above your order price. For this trade, you are risking 50 pips to gain 150 pips, giving you a risk/reward ratio of 1 part risk to 3 parts reward. This means that you only need to be right one third of the time to remain profitable.

The notional value of this trade is $132,280 (100,000 * 1.3228). Your required margin deposit is 1% of the total, which is equal to $1322.80 ($132,280 * 0.01).

As you expected, the Euro strengthens against the dollar and your limit order is reached at 1.3378. The position is closed. Your total profit for this trade is $1500, each pip being worth $10.

Why Trade the FOREX?

My purpose for writing this article is to demonstrate to you the advantages of trading on the Forex market. However, there is one myth that I want to dispel before I go further. The myth is that there is a difference between trading and investing. To dispel that myth I quote from Al Thomas, President of Williamsburg Investment Company, who wrote "If It Doesn't Go Up, Don't Buy It". He said "Everyone who invests is a trader, only the time period is different." It is a lesson that I took seriously after taking a beating in the stock market in 2000.

So now, let's compare features of currency trading to those of stock and commodity trading.

Liquidity — The Forex market is the most liquid financial market in the world around 1.9 trillion dollars traded everyday. The commodities market trades around 440 billion dollars a day, and the US stock market trades around 200 billion dollars a day. This ensures better trade execution and prevents market manipulation. It also ensures easily executable trading.

Trading Times — The Forex market is open 24 hours a day (except weekends) which means that in the US it opens at 3:00 pm Sunday (EST) and closes Friday at 5:00 (EST), allowing active traders to choose the times they want to trade. Commodities trading hours are all over the board depending on which commodity you are trading. Including extended trading times US stocks can be traded from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm (ET) on weekdays.

Leverage — Depending on your Forex account size, your leverage may be 100:1, although there are Forex brokers that offer leverage of up to 400:1 (not that I would ever recommend that kind of leverage). Leverage in the stock market can be as high as 4:1, and in the commodities market, leverage varies with the commodity traded but it can be quite high. Because the commodity markets are not as liquid as the Forex market, its leverage is inherently riskier. Although I was never shut out of a commodity trade by the day limit, the fear was always in the back of my mind.

Trading costs — Transaction costs in the Forex market is the difference between the buy and sell price of each currency pair. There are no brokerage fees. For both the stock and the commodity markets, there are transaction costs and brokerage fees. Even when you use discount brokers, those fees add up.

Minimum investment — You can open a Forex trading account for as little as $300.00. It took $5,000 for me to open my futures trading account.

Focus — 85% of all trading transactions are made on 7 major currencies. In the US stock market alone there are 40,000 stocks. There are just over 200 commodity markets, although quite a few are so illiquid that they are not traded except by hedgers. As you can see, the fewer number of instruments allows us to study each one more closely.

Trade execution — In the Forex market, trade execution is almost instantaneous. In both the equity and commodity markets, you count on a broker to execute your trades and their results are sometimes inconsistent.

While all of these features make trading the Forex market very attractive, it still requires a lot of education, discipline, commitment and patience. All trading can be risky.

Explosive Profits: 7 Reasons to Trade Forex

There are many money-making opportunities out there and we've been involved with quite a few, namely property marketing, web development, residential construction security, multi-level marketing businesses etc.

We've come to a few conclusions with the help of some well-known properity coaches.

Often people with the income they desire don't have the time to enjoy it. Those that have time don't often have money. You don't have to sacrifice your life-style to earn an above-average income. If you focus on the for a few months you can make that dream a reality and create time and money to do what you REALLY want.

To earn a living money is given in exchange for a product or service rendered. It needs to be sold continuously otherwise your income stops abruptly unless it's a repeat type of product or service.

Money is a medium of exchange. There's no magical formula to possess it, you need to exchange something of value for it.

What if, you could have access to thousands of customers who are ready, willing and able to buy from you whenever you wanted? Wouldn't it be great to avoid any hassles like money collection problems (just had a delayed payment from my web business), keeping difficult customers happy (we all know what that's like), competition stealing your business without providing the same value etc.

All that is possible with . You can also trade from anywhere. Take your laptop with you, find an internet connection and away you go.

Another advantage is that you don't need experience to get started. Get a traditionally job involves accumulating specialized experience, having a well-polished resume and having the right contacts. With the right training course, you can get started straight away.

Here's 7 more reasons to trade :

1. It never closes. It's open around the clock, worldwide. Trading positions open at Monday 7am, New Zealand time and close 5pm New York time on Friday. During this time, you can enter or exit the market whenever you like. It's a continuous electronic currency exchange. This is great because you can trade whenever you have spare time.

2. Leverage. Standard $100 000 currency lots can be traded with as little as $1000. This is mainly because of the ease with which you can buy and sell, some brokers will leverage up to 200 times, so with $100 you can control a 200 000 unit currency position. It's the best use of trading capital around, even banks lending on property investments don't come close.

3. Accurately predict the outcomes. Currency prices generally repeat themselves in predictable cycles so you can see what the trends are. 'Technical Analysis' helps to see these trends and profit from them.

4. Low Transaction Cost. In other words, you mistakes won't cost you a fortune. Good brokers won' charge commissions to trade or maintain an account even if you have a mini account and trade small volumes.

5. Unlimited Earning Potential. has a daily trading volume of over 1.5 trillion, the largest financial market in the world. It dwarfs the equities market (50 billion daily) and the futures market (30 billion).

6. You can make money in any market conditions. Each market is one currency against another, so when you buy in one, you're selling in another so there's no biase towards either currency moving up or down. This means it's up to you to choose which currency to buy or sell with. Yu can make money going up or down.

7. Market transparency. This is an advantage in any business or trading environment. It means you can manage risk and execute orders within seconds. It's highly efficient and allows you to avoid unexpected 'surprises'.

I hope you're now convinced that is the best investment and income opportunity around.

Forex The Future Investment

There are many many advantages over the various other ways of investing. First of all it is a 24 hr market, except for weekends of course. You have the US market then the european and then the Asian. One of the great times to trade is during the over lapping periods. The USA and european overlap between 5am & 9am eastern and the Euro & Asian between 11pm & 1am eastern. Usually the busiest time and best to trade.

The is also the risk factor for the accounts. With futures and options you can get margin calls that can wipe you out. If you get caught in a bad trade not only do you lose the money in the account but you may have to come up with alot more from your pocket. It can be very risking. But not in Forex. Worst case senerio you could lose whats in you account. But you would have to do something really stupid. Like making a big trade on a Fundamental day and leave it alone. If market takes a bad move and you weren't there. OOOPS. But That wouldn't happen with a smarth trader.

Then there are the demo accounts which is an account where you can trade using all the right things, platform, charts, and information. But you are using play money, or what we call paper trading too.

Plus with Forex you have a mini account. Instead of needing thousands of dollars to get into it. You can open an account with as little as $300.00. Now of course you will be trading at 1 tenth of a trade. IN other words you controling 10,000 instead of 100,000.00 These are call lots. Which also means you will only risk 1 tenth too!

So if you would love to learn to do investing and not have near the risk you really need to take a closer look at Forex trading.

Investing in Forex

Investing in foreign currencies is a relatively new avenue of investing. There are considerably fewer people are aware of this market than there are people aware of several other avenues of investing. Trading foreign currency, also known as forex, is the most lucrative investment market that exists. There are several factors that make this true among which, successful forex traders earn realistic profits of one hundred plus percent each month. Compared to some of the better known investment markets such as corporate stocks, this is an unheard of return on investment. It's very necessary to mention here that a person who invests in forex must, without exception, make it a point to learn the detailed, but simple strategies and information surrounding the market. This very fact is what makes the difference between successful forex traders and other traders.

A few additional points, which create such powerful leverage for investors within the forex market are: The amount of capital required to begin investing in the market is only three hundred dollars. For the most part, any other investment market is going to demand thousands of dollars of the investor in the beginning. Also, the market offers opportunities to profit regardless what the direction of the market may be; In most commonly known markets investors sit and wait for the market to begin an up trend before entering a trade. Even then, investors, as a rule must sit and wait some more to be able to exit the trade with a nice profit. Given that the forex market produces several up, down, and sideways trends in a single day, it can easily be seen that forex stands head and shoulders above other markets. Additionally there are trading strategies, which are taught that provide for compounded profits; these are profits on top of profits. In addition, free demo accounts are available within the industry of forex trading, which facilitate the sharpening of skills without the risk losing any capital. And the advantage regarding the time factor in trading foreign currency is a very attractive point for any investor. Compared to one of the most sought after avenues of investing, which often requires forty or more hours each week, namely in the real-estate market, the forex market requires a much smaller demand on the investor's time. Forex trading requires approximately ten to fifteen hours each week to earn a full time income. It's easy to see that the advantages and great leverage that exist in the forex market, make it among the most lucrative, time liberating, and easy to enter by far.

I hope this information gives you a clear understanding of how you can turn your investing into a true method of making your money work harder for you.

Understanding Elliott Wave Basic Theory

One of the better known and better understood, the theories for the technical analysis and Forex Trading is the theory of Elliot Wave. Developed in 1920 by Ralph Nelson Elliot as a method to predict the trends of the stock market, the theory of fractals Elliot Wave math applies to movements in the market based on predictions about the behavior of people. In its core, the Elliot Wave Theory of claims, the market - in this case, the foreign exchange markets - moves in a series of 5 shots at the top and rear 3 wavering, constantly repeated. But it was so easy, the whole world would be a recording of the assassination of the wave to ride, and that he was flying before it on the ground. Obviously, there is much more to it.

One of the things that makes floor Elliot Wave is a delicate civilian - for all major wave theories, which is the only one that does not limit the time for responses, and the blows of the market. Only one fact is that theories of mathematical fractals, it is clear that there are a lot of waves waves in waves. Interpretation of the data and find the right curves and peaks is a sensitive issue, which is the claim that you can of 20 experts on the theory of Elliot Wave, in one piece, and they can never lead to an agreement on the question of how a Stock - or, in this case, a single currency - is addressed.

Elliot Wave Basics

• Each action is followed by a reaction.
It is a standard rule for physics applies to the holding of the Mass, in which the Elliot Wave Theory. If the price falls, people will buy. When people buy, which increases demand and supply is falling drive prices. Almost all the systems, based on the analysis of trends in the movements of the market exchange is based on the definition of such measures will be reactions, a lucrative trade.

• There are five waves towards the most important trend followed by three waves of the correction ( "5-3" movement ").
Elliot Wave Theory is that the activity in the market may be envisaged as a series of five waves, which differ only in one direction (trend), followed by three "corrective measures" waves, which move the market to its point of departure.

• A complete cycle 5-3 move.
And here begins the theory that you really very complicated. As the mirror, the mirror, the mirror, a mirror reflects, 5-3 each wave is not complete in itself, is an on-along with a series of small waves, and a subset d 'Comprehensive 5-3 waves -- The next principle.

• This move 5-3 two sub-divisions will be on the next wave of 5-3 higher.
In Elliot Wave reviews, the 5 waves, the trend marked 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 (Impulse). The three are called to deal with the waves of a, bec (corrections). Each of these waves, consists of a series of waves 5-3, and each consists of a series of waves 5-3. The cycle 5-3, you are a student is a pulse and upward correction in the next 5-3.

• The underlying 5.3 remains constant, even if the duration of each may vary.
5.3 A wave may take decades to finish, or - it is always just a few minutes. Market participants who are successful with the theory of Elliot Wavy forex trading in the market, the thing is that the timetable for the operation, with the beginning and end of the pulse 3 and minimize risks, and their profits.

Given the timetable for the different sequences of waves as varied by changing the Elliot Wave Theory is for many a matter of interpretation. Identify the best time for the entry and exit trade depends on the ability to see in the model of small and large waves, and to know when and where to make the trade based on the drawings to identify him.

The key is to correctly interpret the structure - to find the right point. Once you learn to see the patterns, and the waves correctly identify those who say the experts, you will see how it is in all aspects of Forex Trading and are able to initiate this pattern, if its decisions are Day negotiation or a long-term future.

Main Currency Markets

Foreign exchange is traded essentially in two distinctive ways. Over an organized exchange and 'over the counter'. Exchange traded foreign exchange represents a very small portion of the total currency market the great majority of foreign exchange deals being traded between banks and other currency market participants 'over the counter'.

1. Exchange traded currencies

In the case of an organized exchange like the Chicago Mercantile exchange (CME) in the US, standardized currency contract sizes that represent a certain monetary value are traded in the International money market (IMM). A central clearing house organizes matching of transactions between counter-parties. There are various disadvantages to trading currency futures as outlined in the chapter Advantages of trading FX.

2. Currency market

In comparison the over the counter market is traded around the world by a multitude of participants and price quality, reputation and trading conditions determine who a participant wishes to trade with. It is probably the most competitive market in the world and brokers like ACM must insure they live up to the highest standards of service and be compliant with market standards and practices if they want to acquire new customers and retain their existing ones. In 2007 a survey under the auspices of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), global turnover of reporting dealers was estimated at about USD 3.2 trillion per day, representing a more than 60% increase since 2004.

Among the various financial centers around the world, the largest amount of foreign exchange trading takes place in the United Kingdom, even though that nation's currency, the British pound is less widely traded in the currency market than several others. As shown in the graph underneath, the United Kingdom accounts for about 34 percent of the global total; the United States ranks a distant second with about 17 percent, Switzerland is third with 6.1 percent, whereas Japan is only fourth with 6 percent.

The Forex Market

Contrary to popular belief, the unification of many European currencies into one single currency (the Euro) has only strengthened and rendered more popular the usage of foreign exchange as an investment, a hedging instrument and as a tool for speculation. The most marked development has been the democratisation of foreign exchange in the retail forex market, the tightening of spreads and drastic improvement of trading conditions for the small trader.

In practically all investments there is a Foreign Exchange (Forex) transaction to be made. Whether in international trade, import-export, or practically any type of business, resorting to some form of forex foreign exchange operation is practically unavoidable. It is not surprising then that the forex market is by far the largest in the world, in fact it is approximately 32.5 times larger than all equities markets put together.

Advantages of Trading in Forex

The world's largest financial market

As mentioned earlier, the FX Market is by far the worlds largest. With over 2 trillion dollars being traded daily there are several distinct advantages brought forward to the investor.

The first are the hours. The FX market never closes, and because of the huge volumes the market always has plenty of liquidity within it so that any investor knows that when he wants to enter or exit a trade, it will always be possible.

24-hour 5-day a week market

The FX Market is always open. On Monday morning trading starts in Sydney, Australia and as the day goes on more financial markets join in; through Asia – Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo - then through to the Middle East, Europe and finally the Americas. The most liquid hour of trading occurs in the European mornings when the U.S has joined in and Europe and the Middle East are still trading.

When the U.S starts to close, Australasia begins again and the process goes on 24-hours a day until the markets close at 5pm New York time on Friday.

The totally global FX market allows investors to trade at any time and never be caught out, in the event of a world event or an economic announcement without the ability to trade. This is truly unique to the FX market.

What is the location of the FX Market?

The FX market is considered to be an Over the Counter (OTC) or "inter-bank" market, since transactions are conducted directly between two counterparts either over the telephone or via an electronic network. Trading is not centralized on an exchange, as with the stock and futures markets.

The world's most liquid financial market

The liquidity in the market also gives the investor the confidence of knowing that the FX market will always behave the same, day or night, anywhere in the world – unlike other financial markets that either close their doors for trading or widen up the spreads due to the illiquid time of day, simply because there are not enough players in the market.

Streaming Rates

Through the LiderTrader platform, traders are able to view on-line, real-time, executable foreign exchange spot rates on streaming prices. The rates rates are generated by Lider's liquidity providers who are the world's major international banks and leaders in foreign exchange. The rates seen on the LiderTrader platform are Lider's rates as a market maker and reflect the world wide flow of FX supply and demand.

The world's most transparent market

In other financial markets, large players have been known to move a particular share or commodity in order to profit. Because of the vast volumes in the FX markets it is almost impossible for even the largest groups to interfere with the general market forces.

Zero Costs

There are zero costs for trading in foreign exchange with Lider Forex. No costs for trading, no commissions, no hidden fees, or brokerage charges – in fact no costs at all. Lider Forex earns its income through the difference between the buy and sell prices.

When comparing the FX Market to other financial markets, the savvy investor immediately realizes the difference. In the equity markets, for instance, investors pay anywhere from $7 to $30 per trade, via on-line discount brokers. When using full-service brokers this can often be $100 per trade.

When comparing the futures market, trading commissions, exchange fees and clearing fees are all part of the package.

For every investor cost is a serious issue, and when you compare the world's main financial markets in terms of cost, the FX Market is clearly head and shoulders above the rest.

Spreads

Another cost to trading is the spread between the buy and sell price. With Lider Forex offers the tightest spreads are offered - 3-4 pips on major currency crosses. This represents a cost of 0.025% which is or one-quarter of one per mile, or one-twenty-fifth of one-percent.

In the equity markets, for example, a standard spread is often 0.125%. That’s five times the spread in the foreign exchange market, not including the added transaction costs mentioned above.

If looking at the futures markets the situation isn't much better. When comparing like traded instruments for example the EUR/USD contract for example, we find the spreads available with Lider Forex are 40% less than those available in the futures market. Once again that is without taking into account the added fees charged when trading futures.

Accessibility

In order to start live trading with Lider Forex, an investor can open up a trading account for as little as $100. That barely pays for the opening commission in the other financial markets. The high degree of leverage that is obtainable in the trading of off-exchange foreign currency transactions can work against you as well as for you. Leverage can lead to large losses as well as gains.

No Restrictions

When trading with Lider Forex, clients can trade amounts as small as 5,000 units of the base currency and in integral sizes thereof. When comparing similar instruments in the Futures markets the amount is 125,000 units and integral sizes thereof. Your entry to trading is much easier with Lider Forex.

Leverage

With Lider Forex, investors can trade with leveraged amounts up to 200 times their current equity value or 200:1. This dwarfs what is normally offered in the equity markets, being 2:1 (100 times as much). The futures markets margins vary greatly from one instrument to another but do not often fall below 10:1 (20 times as much).

Currency crosses generally fluctuate a lot less than equities or futures and so leverage is essential to successful investment in the FX market. The investor should use the tools available to him within Lider Forex's platform, such as limit and stop-loss orders. Combining these orders with correct money management is also important to successful trading.

The high degree of leverage that is obtainable in the trading of off-exchange foreign currency transactions can work against you as well as for you. Leverage can lead to large losses as well as gains.

Shorting – Profit with both Rising and Falling Markets

In various financial markets throughout the world, there are many limitations against the possibility of shorting certain instruments. In the FX market, whenever you enter a trade you are immediately long (bought) one currency and short (sold) another. Therefore the opportunities to go long or short are the same and the opportunities to profit are endless.
In general terms you are considered long if you bought the major currency and short if you sold the major currency.

New to Forex Trading

For those of you that are new to the foreign exchange (forex) market, it is important to familiarize yourselves with this market’s characteristics and unique attributes. The forex market allows traders to buy and sell distinct currency pairs. No commission is charged per trade, the broker is compensated through the buy and sell price differential – commonly known as the “spread”. Below are a few guidelines to start trading with Advanced Currency Markets – your gateway to the largest and most liquid market on earth.

What is Forex (Foreign Exchange, FX) ?

ACM offers online forex trading services for traders wanting to make speculative transactions on the exchange rate between two currencies.

These rates may be influenced by world economic and political events, currency rate differentials, as well as many other factors including extreme weather conditions (hurricanes), acts of terror etc.

Forex is the largest marketplace in the world with more than 3.2 trillion dollars changing hands daily and so making it one of the most attractive and lucrative markets.

How does the foreign exchange market work?

The forex market allows you to buy and sell currencies against each other and speculate on the differences in exchange rates.

Making a transaction on the forex market is simple: the procedures are identical to that of any other market so switching to trading currencies is straightforward for most traders.

Buying/Selling - B/S

If you want to open a position (i.e.: place an order to sell – to make a profit if the exchange rate falls) you have to choose the amount (i.e.: 100.000 EURUSD) from the drop down menu on the platform and then click the mouse on the sell currency button: SELL (if you want to place an order to buy, you should act in reverse).

This will open a position in the market and you will receive an immediate notification of it on your trading station.

To close an open position, you have to do the opposite of the initial operation – in our case buy the 100.000 EURUSD back.

Different order types also exist to open or close a position under a certain condition.

How does the B/S system work?

As with any market, for each currency pair, there are 2 prices. The difference between them is called the spread.

The spread is measured in points or pips – lowest decimal figure in a currency rate.

For a EURUSD a pip equals 0.0001 (or 10 dollars on 100.000), for EURJPY a pip equals 0.01 (or 1000 yen on 100.000). More information on P/L calculation on the following page: profit and loss.

Forex currencies quotation system

Currencies are quoted in pairs, for example – EUR/USD or USD/JPY.

The first currency in the pair is called the base currency and the second is called the counter currency.

The base currency is the ‘basis’ for purchases and sales.
For example, if you buy EUR/USD, then you acquire Euros and sell Dollars. You do this if you expect the Euro to grow against the Dollar.

It is also possible for a currency pair to be quoted as USD/EUR, but this method is used extremely rarely.

Each transaction must have 2 sides – a buy and a sell (or a sell and a buy).
By this we mean that it is impossible to buy 100.000 EUR/USD and then exchange it for another currency pair (i.e.: EUR/JPY) without closing the first position.

Also please note that no physical currency delivery will be made. For these purposes banks and exchange companies, which specialize in low-rate currency conversions are available.

Forex market working hours

The forex market, based on ‘spot’ transactions, is unique in comparison with all other global markets.
This is because trading takes place 24 hours a day, 5 days a week (ACM platform works from Sunday 22:00 to Friday 23:00 CET). Financial centers are open for work, and banks and other organizations exchange currencies in different parts of the world for different purposes.

Therefore, trading never stops apart from a short break during the weekend.
Early closings are possible depending on calendar arrangement such as, for example, Christmas or new year’s eve.

Forex trading margins

A margin deposit is not, as many traditional traders suggest, the payment in cash for purchasing market shares. A margin is in fact a guarantee or a trust deposit, providing protection from losses during a deal? It allows traders to open positions on amounts that greatly exceed their account limits and so increase their buying power. ACM offers a 1% margin (or 1:100 leverage), which means you can control 100 times your deposit in the real market.

If the funds in the account, in the course of trading, fall below the prescribed margin, your positions will be closed automatically without prior notice. Using this system, the client’s account cannot go overdrawn even under volatile, fast-changing market conditions.

The formula for calculating margins is as follows: (account balance + profit/loss) : open position = the margin

Rollover of positions (swap)

For the sake of transparency and unlike any other online broker we actually have a complete explanation of applied cost of carry on behalf of the market or the customer on open positions held overnight. This overnight cost of carry is presented as a simple flat fee either paid or charged on a customer's account. This process makes for extremely simple statements and greatly increased executional transparency since we do not modify the original price of the position entered into by the customer.

Forex Market Participants

In the last years, the foreign exchange market has expanded from one where banks would execute transactions between themselves to one in which many other kinds of financial institutions like brokers and market-makers participate including non-financial corporations, investment firms, pension funds and hedge funds.

Its' focus has broadened from servicing importers and exporters to handling the vast amounts of overseas investment and other capital flows that currently take place. Lately foreign exchange day trading has become increasingly popular and various firms offer trading facilities to the small investor.

Foreign exchange is an 'over the counter' (OTC) market, that means that there is no central exchange and clearing house where orders are matched. Geographic trading 'centers' exist around the world however and are: (in order of importance) London, New York, Tokyo, Singapore, Frankfurt, Geneva & Zurich, Paris and Hong Kong. Essentially foreign exchange deals are made between participants on the basis of trust and reputation to deliver on an agreement. In the case of banks trading with one another, they do so solely on that basis. In the retail market, customers demand a written legally accepted contract between themselves and their broker in exchange of a deposit of funds on which basis the customer may trade.

Some market participants may be involved in the 'goods' market, conducting international transactions for the purchase or sale of merchandise. Some may be engaged in 'direct investment' in plant and equipment, or may be in the 'money market,' trading short-term debt instruments internationally. The various investors, hedgers, and speculators may be focused on any time period, from a few minutes to several years. But, whether official or private, and whether their motive be investing, hedging, speculating, arbitraging, paying for imports, or seeking to influence the rate, they are all part of the aggregate demand for and supply of the currencies involved, and they all play a role in determining the exchange rate at that moment.

How to win with Forex

Trading in the currency market can be very intimidating. Every good currency trader is always looking for a way to increase profits and reduce risks.

What is your style Forex Trading composed? Do you trade in currencies on the market in the short term? If the answer is yes, you should be alert to the dissemination of data and how it moves and effects of exchange market on an almost daily basis. When you as a broker to prepare for the next trading day, you must be aware of possible market moving events that occur. Here is an example of a market moving event that occurs regularly and offers a great opportunity for traders to make a pleasant and quick profits.

CCI - consumer confidence index

The last Tuesday of every month, the Conference Board covers monthly data. The ITC is composed of a survey of five thousand households across the USA. It is well regarded as the most reliable indicator of consumer confidence.

As consumer confidence is measured this number becomes incredibly meaningful to the forex because the Federal Reserve uses this issue when considering whether to increase or decrease interest rates. Obviously, this has an enormous impact on the USA Dollar. This same engine is a big market, because 2 / 3 of the economy of the USA is consumption.

Now that you have one of the many opportunities before you as a trader, the question is what to do? The answer fortunately is clear: get good signals negotiation of a software company that you can relay.

Top Incredible Reasons Why Some Forex Traders Are Making Losses In The Forex Market

Currency exchange online popularly known as the online exchange or forex became one of the most lucrative Internet business going by the number of people who join the company. In addition, the liquidity of the market characteristics make it more attractive to many new coins. In early 2008, precisely January, the daily volume of currency to be exchanged per day is over $ 2 billion This figure is so enormous when compared with the daily trades of the New York Stock Exchange, which is no more $ 25billion dollar.

The potential for making great Forex market is therefore due to the huge market liquidity as described above and the fact that few people know about the forex market. These few all these while traders made big profits from the market. Lately, there has been an explosion in the number of traders joining the Forex market. Because people awareness was awake and cotton covering his eyes was withdrawn. However, the risky nature of the rapidly on the foreign exchange market begins to show its ugly head when people join a money spinning market. Thus, many operators have discovered that the sooner they joined the market they have lost all their investments and deported. Some who have not lost anything on the market are not making progress. It is also stressed in a report that nearly 95 percent of traders are losing market.

This negative development that propelled me to write this article to show clearly the main reasons most currency traders are losing. The seven reasons if properly understood will provide a guide for operators to change that have already been victims of these costly mistakes. Let us quickly on the first seven reasons why the forex is to lose.

Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) Momentum Indicator

The MACD is a great trending indicator that can be used for many daytrading strategies. A bullish market is indicated by the faster-moving average crossing the slower-moving average on the way up. A bearish market is indicated by the faster-moving average crossing the slower-moving average on the way down. On top of that, the MACD has different periods for the fast- and slow-moving averages. The typical default MACD periods are 8, 17, 9 or 12, 26, 9.
The MACD is based on three moving averages, however, they essentially show up as being only two lines. The 8 – period and the 17 – period moving averages are combined to form the faster-moving average line. The 9 – period exponential moving average forms the slower-moving average. In your daytrading strategy, the MACD moving average lines can be read for three pieces of information to give you the buy and sell signals you need for successful trades.

The first type of buy and sell signal you get from the MACD is called a breakout. This breakout is signified by the faster-moving average crossing the slower-moving average. If you were to examine a MACD chart, you would see a few places where this is happening. Like we talked about earlier, when the faster-moving average line crosses the slower-moving average line on the way up, you’ve got a bullish signal. Conversely, when the faster-moving average line crosses the slower-moving average line on the way down, you’ve got a bearish signal. That’s a breakout. There are some traders who will enter or exit a trade based when the line crosses, however, keep in mind that by doing so, you could limit potential profits and take on additional losses.
The second type of buy and sell signal we can get from the MACD is to test for support and resistance. When you’re day trading stocks, you might be told to trade on the cross, but here is something you can add to your strategy instead of just blindly trading at the cross. What you can do is check to see if the indicator lines are moving in the same direction and test the indicator line as being a support or resistance line after the cross.
The last type of buy and sell signal we can get from the MACD is divergence information. When the fast- and the slow-moving average lines move away from each other, the mound on the chart expands. As these lines draw near to each other, the mound shrinks. That is called divergence. Divergence is an important day trading tip that can strengthen your position on a trade if read correctly.
Using the MACD is a good way for experienced day traders to get an idea of when to buy and sell based on averages that give you a logical reason to buy or sell at a particular time.

5 Tips to Follow for Successful Forex Trading

There are two basic exchanges for investing and trading currencies --- the currencies futures market and the Forex market. Though they both operate based on the same underlying premise, namely exchanging one currency for another in order to make a profit. However, there are some basic differences. The Forex market is best known for its three key features:

1. High volume of trading
2. Extreme liquidity
3. Being available 24 hours a day (except weekends)

Unfortunately, not every investor or trader is successful in their first attempt at currency exchange trading, so here are five tips that could possibly help you be a little more successful at than others.

Tip #1 - Familiarize yourself with the Forex market.

Remember that gaining a good education is the key to attaining success in any endeavor. And that is especially true when it comes to currency exchange. You need to become as familiar as possible with the currencies that you are going to be trading. The more accurate your predictions involving the way a currency moves become, the greater your chance at success and the more likely that it will be profitable for you.

Tip #2 - Find the best Forex system to suit your needs and then stick with it.

The more savvy Forex brokers and traders will all tell you that a persons success is in the system. The best systems enable you to automate your trading based on history. The better systems will also track key aspects such as those peaks and valleys that currencies climb or travel through. This may take a bit of trial and error, but once you find the system that is providing you with a profit, stick with it. Remember, if it aint broke, dont try to fix it.

Tip # 3 - Repetition is not a bad thing --- practice does make perfect.

Despite the fact that it isnt the real world, paper trading is an excellent tool to help you learn the industry and develop your skills at it. Paper trading is a practice tool that you can use whenever you want to develop your knowledge of the industry without the use of real money. It is exactly what the name implies as you are trading on paper only.

Tip #4 - Always pay attention to the margin.

Unfortunately, trading using margins is a great way to lose a lot of money, and lose it very quickly. Until you are skilled fairly proficiently and really know what you are doing, you should avoid forex margin trading like the plague. Staying away from this also lowers your risk factors and enables you to put that investment to better use.

Tip #5 - With forex trading, the only thing that matters is the bottom line.

At the end of the day, all that matters is what you have profited from your efforts. Losing is not an option, and the more determined and steadfast that you hold your ground and maintain that attitude, the better off your bottom line will be. Its not how you win or lose those trades --- its all about dollars and cents.

What is the FOREX Market

The Foreign Exchange (FOREX) market is by far the largest market in the world. The $1.3 trillion average daily turnover dwarfs the daily turnover of the American stock and bond markets combined. There are many reasons for the popularity of foreign exchange trading, but among the most important is the available margin trading, the 24-hour a day 5 day a week liquidity, and low if any commissions.

Of course many commercial organizations are participating purely due to the currency exposures created by their financial institutions accounts on their import and export activities. Investing in foreign exchange remains predominantly a domain of the big professional players in the market such as hedge funds, banks and brokers. Nevertheless, any investor with the necessary knowledge is and complete understanding of this market can benefit from this exciting arena.

Margin Trading

Foreign exchange trading is normally undertaken on the basis of margin trading or gearing. A relatively small deposit is required in order to control much larger positions in the market. This is possible because when you buy one currency you sell another. Margin requirements are set by your Customer broker and vary from as little as 1% to 10% margin. This means that in order to trade 1,000,000 USD on 1 % margin, you need to place just 10,000 USD by way of security. That same security of 10,000 USD, traded on a 10% margin could control up to 100,000 USD worth of one currency against another currency.

As you can see, with gearing your capital from 10 to 100 times calls for a very disciplined approach to trading as both profit opportunities and potential loss are equal and opposite.

Trade Currency and Price Currency

When you trade, you will always trade a combination of two currencies. For example, you will buy US dollars and sell Japanese Yen or buy Euros and sell Japanese Yen. There are many combinations of the dozens of widely traded currencies. There is always a long (bought) and a short (sold) side to each trade. This means that you are speculating in the prospect of one of the currencies strengthening and one of them weakening.

The trade currency or dealt currency is normally, but not always, the currency with the highest value. When for example trading US dollars against Japanese Yen, the normal way to trade is buying or selling a fixed amount of US dollars, USD 100,000. When closing the position, the opposite trade is done, again USD 100,000. The profit or loss based on price change will be apparent in the amount of Yen credited and debited for the two transactions. In other words, your profit or loss will be denominated in Japanese Yen that are known as the price currency.

24/5 and No Central Location

The FOREX Market has no fixed location. It is a market based on the vast network of hundreds of major banks and their branch offices across the globe. The liquidity is always there because someone, somewhere can make a price. From Monday morning in New Zealand to Friday afternoon on the California Coast the FOREX Market is basically a 24 hour 5 day a week market that does not stop. Australasia starts a day then comes the Asian market, then Europe, followed by the American and Canadian markets then Australasia again and the cycle continues with the markets closed only on the weekends or in countries with bank or national Holidays.

Spreads not Commissions

When trading foreign exchange, you are always quoted a 2-sided dealing price where you can buy or sell the trade currency. The difference between the buy and sell price is the spread

The dealing spread is typically around 5 basis points or pips under normal market conditions, e.g. EUR/USD 1.2250-55. This means that you can sell Euros against US Dollars at 1.2250 and buy Euros at 1.2255. There are no more costs, no commissions or exchange fees because so called commissions are built into the spreads. The wider the spread the bigger the commission!

Spot and forward trading (Swaps)

When you trade foreign exchange you are always quoted a spot price valued 2 business days in advance. This is under normal conditions where there are no bank holidays in the traded currencies countries or is not over a weekend. If you trade on Monday it is valued Wednesday. If you trade on Friday it is valued Tuesday.

Forward trading is making the opposite trade of a spot trade in a given period of time. Often investors will swap their trades forward for anywhere from a week or two up to several months depending on the time frame of the investment. Most common is one-day rollovers, keeping a spot position overnight. These overnight positions are technically one-day forwards. It is very important to know what interest you paying if short and what interest you are receiving if long when keeping an overnight position. Even though a forward trade is on a future date, the position can be closed out at any time. The closing part of the position is then swapped forward to the same future value date.

Stop-Loss discipline

There are significant opportunities and of course risks in the foreign exchange markets. Aggressive traders might experience profit/loss swings of 20-30% daily. This calls for strict self-disciplined stop-loss policies in positions that are moving against you.

Luckily, there are no daily limits on foreign exchange trading and no restrictions on trading hours other than the weekends. This means that there will nearly always be a possibility to react to moves in the main currency markets and low risk of getting caught without possibility of getting out. This market can move very fast and a stop-loss order is by no means a guarantee of getting out at the desired level.

The main risk is really an event over the weekend, where all markets are closed. This happens from time to time as many important political events such as G10 meetings are normally scheduled for week The main risk is really an event over the weekend, where all markets are closed.
